Visa for Vietnam for British passport holders

Like most of citizens from other countries, British citizens have to apply for a Vietnam visa beforehand to travel to Vietnam. It’s time for you to know how to get visa to Vietnam for British passport holders

Currently, the British passport holders are given 2 options to obtain a visa for Vietnam. The first way is to apply for a visa at Vietnam Embassy and the second is to apply for a Vietnam visa on arrival.

1.   Apply at Vietnam Embassy/Consulate

To obtain Vietnamese visa within 3-5 days, the British citizens must provide Vietnam Embassy with documents below:

- An application form

- An origin passort (minumum validity of 6 months)

- 2 passport-sized photos

- Visa fee (in cash)

Please take note that Vietnam Embassies work from Monday to Friday only.

2.   Apply online 

The process to complete a visa approval letter for British passport holders is 2 working days. The time can be much shorter if you pick up urgent service or super-urgent service. To obtain a Vietnam visa on arrival, British citizens are directed to do 4 steps:

- Fill out online application form  fully and accurately

- Make the full payment either with credit/debit card or cash

- Receive visa approval letter via email within 2 working days

- Get a visa stamp at Vietnam’s airport (Hanoi, Danang, Ho Chi Minh)

Please take note that visa upon arrival is helpfu for British citizens who travel to Vietnam by air only. If you are not coming to Vietnam by air, please obtain the visa at embassy of Vietnam.

Applying electronically on our website, British citizens wil be updated your visa process via email. Hence, we advise you to check you email frequently to receive notifications from us. In case you do not see the confirmation email in your inbox as soon as  sending the Vietnam visa application,  please find it in your spam folder. That is the only place it could be in.
