Requirements to get Vietnam visa for Hong Kong citizens
In spite of the fact that Hong Kong citizens can enjoy 30-day visa-free stay in Phu Quoc Island, it doesn’t mean they are exempted a Vietnam visa to visit other destinations. As regulated by immigration laws, the Hong Kong visitors must arrange the visa beforehand to set foot in Vietnam.
Steps to obtain visa for Vietnam
Actually, there are 2 methods for a Hong Kong citizen to apply for Vietnam visa but we will mention only about Vietnam Visa On Arrival (pre-arranged visa online) as it’s simpler, easier, faster and cheaper. If you prefer to obtain the visa from embassy, please read guidance here.
Step1. Select your visa type
Every Hong Kong traveler can obtain tourist or business visa to Vietnam without proving purpose of the trip. Therefore, you should select the visa type corresponding to your duration of stay, not based on major purpose of the trip. There are 4 types of visa to offer: 1 month single, 1 month multiple, 3 months single, and 3 months multiple. If you would request long-term visa, kindly contact us via email or phone.
Step 2. Fill out application form on line
The form is available at here. Make sure you enter the information correctly, especially your full name, date of birth, passport number. It’s not necessary to provide the exact travel date and port of entry but be noted that your visa will be effective from the date of travel you enter in the form until it expires.
Step 3. Pay visa application fee
We offer credit payment and money transfer methods. Select the easiest method to you and pay the fee in full. If you fail to do that, kindly send email to support@vietnamvisa-easy.com to request payment assistance. A payment link will be then sent to you to pay the application fee.
Step 4. Receive visa approval letter via email
For regular case, the visa approval is delivered within 2 business days. For urgent case, we will provide it on the same day within less than 24 hours (read more Urgent Vietnam visa on arrival). An entry-exit form is usually enclosed for you to fill out.
Step 5. Pick up visa on arrival
At arrival airport (Hanoi, Danang, Ho Chi Minh), you are asked to present the copy of approval letter, completed entry-exit form, original passport (valid no less than 6 months), and 1 passport photo. The immigration officer then will review your documents and request you to pay stamping fee before placing a visa stamp onto your passport. It requires $45 for single entry visas, $65 for 1 month multiple entry visas, $95 for 3 months multiple entry visas. The fee must be paid by cash in American dollars or Vietnam dong.
Extend visa
The visa on arrival is extendable or renewable from within Vietnam. The processing takes about 7 business days so you should apply for extension at least 4 days before the expiry date of the visa. The service fee may vary from time to time without notice. Your nationality, port of entry, type of visa and duration of extension also determines the cost. When you request Vietnam visa extension service, please provide us with necessary information about your visa to help us check the fee easy.
