Requirements of Vietnam visa on arrival

Similar to Vietnamese visa obtained at the embassy, Vietnam visa on arrival also has its own requirements. Still, the requirements are so simple that any applicants could satisfy easily.

1. Passport validity

The applicants must have a passport valid for at least 6 months from date of arrival. Otherwise, the airlines will not allow you to board the plane

2. Travel by air

Visa for Vietnam is only obatainable at the airport if the visitors enter Vietnam by air. For those crossing the border into Vietnam by land or sea, you will have to pick up the visa before arrival at the embassy.

Steps involved in getting Vietnamese visa at arrival airport:

- Complete the visa application form correctly

- Pay visa processing fee with credit/debit card through Onepay/Paypal or with cash via Western Union or bank transfer

- Receive visa approval letter via email after 2 business days or less

- Present the letter to board the plane and pick up the visa at the airport of arrival.

Vietnamese visa can be issued on single or multiple entry with validity of 1 month or 3 months from intended date of arrival indicated in the visa application form.
