Vietnam tourist visa for Indians in Fiji

For now, there is no Vietnam Embassy opening in Fiji. If an Indian in Fiji wants to apply for a traditional Vietnam tourist visa, he/she must go to the nearest Vietnam Embassy/Consulate of neighboring countries, which requires lots of time and energy as well. However, everything would be very simple and easy if you avail of Vietnam visa on arrival facility.

What is Vietnam visa on arrival?

It is an alternative legitimate way of getting visa to Vietnam for international travelers including the Indians. The facility started from 2007 as a positive move to stimulate Vietnamese tourism industry. However, only people traveling by air are eligible to apply for visa on arrival. It doesn’t work for overland crossing.

How it works?

To be eligible to pick up Vietnam travel visa upon arrival, the Indians in Fiji have to show a document called visa approval. The letter will be obtained online through travel agents and we are one of them. •  Full name as shown on passport
•  Date of birth
•  Passport number
•  Date of arrival: can be exact or expected travel date

After finishing with the form, you are required to pay application fee with credit/debit card. The Vietnam visa fee ranges from $30 to $70 depending on type of visa and kind of processing (standard or urgent).

Once your paid application was submitted, we will send you a confirmation email and work with Immigration Department on your behalf to obtain the visa approval.

Now you already got the visa approval, in order to have a tourist Vietnam visa on your India passport, you need to make the following documents available for submission at arrival airport:

•  Original passport: has at least 6 months validity remaining. If there is no blank pages left, the customs officer will give you a loose-leaf visa
•  Completed entry-exit form (we provide it along with the visa approval. You are also able to download it here)
•  01 passport photo to attach to the entry-exit form.
•  Cash in US. Dollars or VN dong to pay stamping fee. It requires $45 for single entry visas, $65 for 1 month multiple entry visas, and $95 for 3 months multiple entry visas

As a rule, you will have to line up to receive the visa. If you are lucky, it takes only 10 minutes on it. Sometimes, the line is very long and it’s not comfortable to wait so long for your turn. Therefore, if you hate wasting time on queuing, you should use stamping assistance service ($22 service fee). This helps you save a lot of time and energy as well.
