Apply Vietnam visa for Indians in UK

Similar to every British national, Indians living in UK are able use one of 2 methods below to obtain a Vietnam visa on India passport:

1.  Submit paper application to Vietnam Embassy in London

Pros: secure, valid at both airports and border gates

Cons: time-consuming, high cost, complicated

2.  Create visa-on-arrival application online

Pros: secure, worry-free, time-saving, low cost

Cons: good at airports only, slow on arrival processing

We have listed the good and bad points of each method. The choice is up to you. But before giving the decision, you probably need to be acknowledgeable about their procedures.

Vietnam visa procedure at embassy

Prepare documents:

•  Original passport: should have a minimum of 6 months validity
•  Application form (complete here): affixed with a passport-sized photo
•  Flight booking: is needed if you request 3 months multiple visa
•  Appropriate visa fee

Important note:

If you apply for the visa by post, a self-addressed prepaid envelope must be included for return of the passport. One envelope can be used for several applications. Payment should be made by cheque or postal order payable to the ‘EMBASSY OF VIET NAM”.

If you apply by email, please send your passport copy, visa application form (PDF format) and evidence of payment to Consular@vietnamembassy.org.uk. A confirmation email will be sent to you within 24 hours since the time you email the complete application.

If you request a short-stay single entry visa for business purpose, you need to email a copy of passport, completed application form and invitation letter.  The consular staff will soon respond your inquiry by email or telephone.

Your visa application must be made before 12:30 pm every working day (Monday to Friday)

Processing time:

The embassy often requires 5 business days on regular basis for in-person and postal applications. For applications by email, the processing time is 2 business days (different free required). If you request an express processing, it takes only 1-2 business days.

Visa collection time: from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm on working days. If you submit application by email, you must bring your passport and original application form to embassy to collect the visa.

Visa On Arrival Procedure

From the comfort of your home, you simply enter required information in this online form. Review the form carefully and submit it. Then you need to proceed with payment. The visa fee ranges from $30 to 70$ according to your visa category. If you request Rush Visa Service, an additional fee will be required. You can use credit/debit card or transfer money for visa payment.

Shortly after you finish payment, we will email you to confirm the success of application and inform when your visa approval is ready for use. The processing time takes 2 business days (excluding weekend and national holidays) on a regular basis. By obtaining the visa approval, you are eligible to pick up visa on arrival at every Vietnamese airport. The documents below must be presented as requirements for visa stamp upon arrival:

•  Original passport with at least 6 months validity. If there is no empty page left, you will be granted a loose-leaf visa.
•  Completed entry-exit form: is provided at the same time with approval letter
•  Approval letter
•  01 passport photo taken no longer than 06 months against white background

Additionally, you have to pay some cash (in US. Dollar or VN Dong)for visa stamp. In detail, it costs $45 for single visas, $65 for 1 month multiple visa, $95 for 3 months multiple visa.
