How to get a visa for Afghanistan traveling to Vietnam

1.   Apply for a Vietnam visa on arrival (VOA)

Visa on arrival is a legal method to get a Vietnam visa which allows applicants to obtain an approval letter before enter the country. With visa on arrival, you can apply for both tourist and business visas.

*Before applying for a visa on arrival, we want to recommend you to check up first with the airline you flying with to know if they allow you boarding the plane with a visa on arrival. In some Middle East countries, because of strict visa rules, it’s totally up to the airline’s policy regarding this matter. We’ve come across circumstances in which our customers had been declined their flight due to the requirement from the carrier that imposes full visa on passengers to certain countries. In this case, applicants still have another choice – applying for visa stamp at any Embassy of Vietnam in your country (or nearest to your country).

Step 1: Afghan nationals are required to send the scanned photo of your passport which contains your personal details, visa type, supposed date of arrival, name of arrival airport to email [email protected]. Don’t book flights before you are approved.

Step 2: We will send you a link to pay. Use your credit/debit card and pay the service fee.

We offer the fee for Afghan applicants on Vietnam visa one-month single entry visa is $135. This is the only visa type available for Afghan citizens.

Only when the payment is made successfully, your application starts to get processed. In case the result is rejection, money will be transferred back to your account.

Step 3: It takes 5 to 7 days to arrange an approval letter for Afghanpassport holders. This document will be sent to your email. No urgent service is available.

Step 4: Use this approval letter to enter Vietnam and get the real visa stamp on your passport. At the airport, submit your original passport, printed copy of letter, 01 passport-sized photo and a completed entry-exit form (sent with the letter) at Landing visa/Visa upon arrival desk/counter. • Afghan citizens are granted visa-free stay at Phu Quoc special economic zone for 30 days.
• Visa on arrival is only usable for travelers to Vietnam by air.

2.   Apply for Vietnam visa at an Embassy of Vietnam in Afghanistan

There is currently no Embassy of Vietnam on Afghanistan territory.

Please notice that the embassies of Vietnam that located in African and Middle-East countries do not grant Vietnam visa for local citizens as its service. But you can receive visa stamp which is pre-arranged and pre-approved by Vietnam Immigration Department via a travel agent at any Embassy of Vietnam.
