International Grape and Wine Festival 2014

With purpose of raising big economic potential of grapes and advertising, attracting tourists to Ninh Thuan, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will associate with Ninh Thuan People’s Committee to organize International Grape and Wine Festival 2014 in Phan Rang city, Thap Cham, Ninh Thuan. 

The festival will have about 10 booths introducing grapes and grape fruit products of domestic and foreign grape wine manufacturers (France, Chile, Argentina, Australia, Hungari, Rumani and Germany), farmers in Ninh Thuan and neighboring provinces.

Many special cultural art activities will be held during the festival such as: flower car parade, basket boat race, street music, photography exhibition; exhibition of grape wine and grape fruit products; cuisine competition, kite flying, workshop with the theme “Ninh Thuan grape - Gem in stone” aiming to introduce and transfer modern technologies to direct farmers to grow grape for the biggest profit; performance of stages from planting, harvesting, manufacturing to processing grape wine and products from grape in local method; art performance and firework show in opening and closing ceremony.

With area of 2.500 ha, Ninh Thuan is the largest vineyard in Vietnam, mainly in Ninh Phuoc,Ninh Hai districts and Phan Rang city with new grape varieties with high productivity, average output is about 15.000 tons/per year, of which, over 10.000 tons of fresh grapes are transported to provinces and cities in the country. Ninh Thuan grapes are processed into diverse products such as: dried grapes, grape jams, grape wine, grape nectar….to meet different demands of customers. Therefore, Ninh Thuan province is paying a big attention to invest in processing products from grapes.>

International Grapes and Wine Festival 2014 is a chance for domestic and foreign investors to meet, exchange and seek investment opportunity, contributing to successfully implement scheme on Ninh Thuan’s general social-economic development until 2020
