Tourist Vietnam visa for Indians in Dubai

Passport validity

Please make sure that your passport validity remains for no less than 6 months prior to date you travel to Vietnam with minimum 02 empty pages left. If it is about to expire soon, it’s recommended that you renew the passport before starting an application for tourist visa for Vietnam.

Select visa type

The statement “Tourist visa is granted for tourists” may be true for other countries but not always correct for Vietnam. The type of visa should be determined according to the length of time you would like to stay in Vietnam, and not to the purpose of your trip. For example: if your visit to Vietnam does not exceed 1 month, the appropriate visa type is tourist visa. If you wish to stay longer than 1 month, Vietnam business visa of 3 month validity is better choice. Please take note that both of tourist and business visas can be issued on single and multiple entry. The single entry allows one visit and a multiple entry visa allows repeat visits to our country during period of visa validity.

Requirements

The requirements for application are simple or complicated depending on how you apply for the visa: apply directly at local Vietnam Consulate/ Embassy or apply online from travel agents. 

1.   Apply at Consulate/ EmbassyVietnam

Paper visa application at the consulate always requests you to prepare the following documents:

·   Original passport

·   Visa application form, completed and signed

·   01 passport-sized photo

·   Vietnam visa fee

Processing time:

You will have to wait about 3-5 business days to collect the visa after the Vietnam visa application is submitted in complete.

Tips: be sure to check the visa for errors right after you collect it. If you find any errors, notify the embassy immediately for remedy prior to departure date

2.   Electric Vietnam visa on arrival

Under the new regulation of Vietnam Government in 2007, the Indian passport holders are able to sign up online for a visa to Vietnam with no requirements and collect it on arrival at all Vietnamese international airports. In order to avail this facility, the Indian citizens must travel to Vietnam by air. The entry visa is not issued at land or sea borders.

The rules to pick up Vietnam visa on arrival are very simple. No need to mail off your passport or leave it at the embassy for processing. Irrespective of types of the visa, you just need to apply online, pay the processing fee with credit/debit card, then receive an approval letter within 2 business days. When you arrive in Vietnam, show the letter to Immigration Officer along with your valid passport, 01 passport-sized photo, completed entry and exit form (download free of charge from our website), and stamping fee. After 15 minutes, a visa stamped will be placed into your passport.

The validity of tourist visa upon arrival is 1 month starting from the travel date mentioned in the application form. To be allowed to visit Vietnam for longer, we encourage you apply for business visa on arrival for the same procure.
