Processing time for Vietnam tourist visa

Presently, there are 2 ways for visitors to obtain a Vietnam tourist visa. Accordingly, the processing times are different.

1. Apply at Vietnam Embassy/Consulate

Processing time for Vietnamese travel visa varies from embassy to embassy. Some embassies need only 1-2 business days and the others require 1 week. In general, you’ll have to wait about 3-5 business days to collect the Vietnam visa. And remember that the visa processing starts from the date you submit documents and payment completely.

2.  Apply online

If you apply online for Vietnamese travel visa, the normal processing time is 2 business days. On emergency, it would be 1 business day, a couple of hours or 1 hour depending what kind of urgent Vietnam visa processyou request.

Please take note that Vietnam Immigration Department only receives the applications until 3:00 pm (Vietnam time) every day. If you apply for the visa before this time, we’ll deliver you the visa approval letter by 6:00 pm (Vietnam time) tomorrow. And if you do so after this time, your Vietnam visa applicationwill be sent to Vietnam Immigration tomorrow morning and the process will be completed on the day after tomorrow.
