Maximum validity of Vietnam tourist visa

Vietnam tourist visa is issued for single or multiple entry with longest validity is up to 30 days. However, if you need to stay in Vietnam longer, then getting Vietnam business visa may be a better choice. There are many people come to Vietnam for short business trip with tourist visa and many people visit their family with business visa. So, there is no problem if you take business visa for vacation pupose.

At present, almost visitors enter Vietnam with Vietnam visa on arrival. This is a new way to obtain Vietnam visa for air travelers only. In order to get visa upon arrival for your journey, you must apply online for a visa approval letter in advance, then use the letter to pick up visa at Vietnam International airports.

Please notice that the process of getting Vietnam visa at the airport of arrival for tourists and businessmen are the same. Just follow 4 steps and you will get visa for Vietnam in hand:

1/ Complete the online visa application form correctly

2/ Make online payment for your Vietnam visa application

3/ Obtain visa approval leter via email after 2 business days (normal service) or a few hours (fast track service)

4/ Get visa stamp at arrival airport and pick up your visa

Note:

-  Vietnam visa on arrival is not available for visitors entering Vietnam by land or sea. Under the circumstances, you are advised to obtain Vietnam tourism visa at Vietnam embassy/consulate

-  You passport should have minimum validity of 6 months prior to date of travel to meet requirements of the airlines.
