Canadian Thanksgiving day falls on the second Monday of October. This is to celebrate the harvest and other blessings of the past year. The day when family members try to get together despite how far away they live, to all enjoy a cosy dinner. And, of course, this is the best day when a whole lot of turkey or pumpkin pie taste the most delicious.
On this special occasion this year, Vietnam Visa Easy has a chance to follow a Canadian ex-pat to a Thanksgiving dinner. Allan, who has had 17 Thanksgiving Day celebrated here in Vietnam, is getting ready to go to the Dinner tonight at a Canadian Restaurant together with the Canadian Community here in Hanoi. Let’s follow him and watch our video to see how Canadian ex-pats here in Hanoi celebrate their Thanksgiving Day far away from home. We also had a short interview with two of them about their feelings on this special day.
Thanksgiving dinner is a feast of which turkey is considered to be the “queen”, so Turkey is certainly available in the menu. Besides, Foods traditionally served at Thanksgiving also include roasted turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes with gravy, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, sweet corn, various autumn vegetables.
