On the evening of March 15, the Ministry of Health released new entry regulations for international tourists. The regulations become effective from March 15, replacing the old stricter rules.

Accordingly, the air travelers only require a negative test result to enter Vietnam. It can be a rapid antigen test valid 24 hours prior to the departure or a PRC test conducted within 72 hours before the flight. This rule is also applicable for tourists traveling by bus, ship, or train. In case the travelers cannot provide the test result at the border, the testing must be performed at the place of residence within 24 hours after the arrival. If the test returns a negative result, the travelers can travel freely.

Children under 2 years old are exempt from the testing and must be accompanied by parents. The travelers are required to self-monitor their health 10 days after arrival and contact the nearest medical center if developing Covid19 symptoms.
