After coming back from Vietnam, photographer Stuart Forster used beautiful words to talk about his travel on Huffingston Post.

Besides culuture and people elements, photograph plays an important role in introducing the image of a country to abroad and Vietnam is such a typical example. The photos taken by Nick Ut, Don McCullin, Robert Capa hay Larry Burrows in Vietnam War gave a strong impression and curiosity to many foreigners. Since then, Vietnam gradually becomes an attractive destination of international tourists, particularly photography lovers.

Compared to other countries, the expenses for accommodations and meals in Vietnam is quite cheap with a wide range of choice. This is totally suitable for those who love exploring the S-shaped country.

In developed tourism cities, the staffs in restaurants and hotels are good at English, so the foreign tourists do not get difficulty in communication. In other ways, the travel between the landscapes is very convenient and not require many procedures.

The foreign tourists are also advised to visit personal photography exhibitions to find ideas for Vietnamese distinctly pictures.

As for tourists who are fond of portrait photos, Vietnam is truly an ideal place because Vietnamese people are very friendly and hospitable. They are always willing to offer a smile whenever receiving the lens from the foreigners. However, the tourists should show respects for them by asking for their permisson before shooting.

What surprises most of foreigners is Vietnam’s ethnic diversity, of which 12% population is ethnic minorities living in remote mountainous areas. The image of ethnic minority people in colorful traditional costumes is a specific feature that fascinates multiple photographers. However,to capture those images, the photographers need to spend a lot of time as well as energy in going to the highlands. Buon Me Thuot is one of the perfect destinations for beautiful photos. And of course, the image of Vietnamese women in ao dai with palm-leaf conical hat and permanent smile is still the most unforgetable impression to foreign photographers.

The traditional handicraft villages in Vietnam such as incense making also becomes interesting through the lens of foreign photographers.

Not only remarkable people but also peaceful natural scenes of Vietnam are endless inspiration for photography lovers. For travelers who love  landscapes photography, you should go to the river routes and rural areas in Mekong Delta. The moments at dawn, sunset and daily life of the locals on the small wooden boats will produce the amazing shots that definitely make the photographers surprised.
