Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thua Thien – Hue will take charge of organizing and setting up the program “Timbre in Perfume River” in Hue Festival 2014.
This is a theatre art aiming at honouring the unique art value of Hue singing, a popular tourism product in the ancient capital. The success of “Timbre in Perfume River” will contribute to advertisement and introduction of specific features of Hue singing, improving art quality, shaping operation method as well as awareness and way to serve tourists of the product.
The opening ceremony is expected to take in at the park in front of the Hue National University of Education. The main space of the festival will use about 20 or 25 catamarans carrying the artists at the main stage to serve visitors and Hue singing program on the river. Then, the boats will move to Perfume River section in front of Phu Van Lau.
Apart from art performances, the visitors will have a chance to partake in community activities such as musical instruments exhibition, a photography exhibition of activities and artists working in Hue singing.
In addition, there are some supporting activities such as Hue specialities booth, handicraft booth, folk games, souvenir… are also organized at the part in Le Loi Street, creating more space for the enjoyment of visitors.
