Thai Phien, a traditional flower village has recently become a popular tourist destination in Dalat with thousands of arrivals every year.
Thai Phien is located in Ward 12, Dalat city, Lam Dong province and 7km from Dalat city to the Northeast. Before becoming traditional flower village, Thai Phien was known as the land of artichoke, vegetables, and especially asteraceae.
Looking down from above, Thai Phien is impressive with adjacent blue and red roofs or the flower planting area. When the night comes, the village is lightened by thousands of 3U bulbs.
The villagers in Thai Phien are dedicated to flower planting. They spend all time in flowers, enthusiastic with research, access and application of cultivation methods. Besides, many new flower varieties are imported to produce beautiful good flowers.
After being recognized as traditional flower village for 2 years, Thai Phien flower village welcomed about 4.000 arrivals tourists. There are about 80 groups from regions throughout the country and Asia such as Japan, Korea. Many of tourists are experts and businessmen. They visit the village for not only sightseeing but also business cooperation.
This may be a big pride, worthy results for great contributions of flower farmers in Thai Phien. Hopefully, in the near future, Thai Phien will become a well-known brand in Vietnam and abroad. This place would draw more and more visitors and become not-to be-missed destination in Dalat.
