To be known as one of 4 large passes of North West, O Quy Ho is really a hard challenge for any backpackers.
O Quy Ho pass is also called Hoang Lien because it spreads across Hoang Lien Son mountain range or May due to peak of its is covered by clouds throughout the year. Being located at 4D highway crossing Hoang Lien Son, O Quy Ho connects Lao Cai and Lai Chau and it is also the boundary of these 2 provinces.
The most ideal itinerary is to start from Sapa, across Silver waterfall about 12 km and then go ahead to the peak of O Quy Ho. From the 2,073 m height of the peak, you would have chance to admire big floating white clouds that make this place look like a heaven.
On the way to O Quy Ho peak, you will see every single flow of floating white clouds stretching as far the eye can see.
