Not-to be-ignored historic relics in Nam Dinh

Aside from the second capital of Tran dynasty, Nam Dinh also owns temples of Dinh and Tran emperors or ancient pagodas that  you should not ignore.

Referred to as the second capital of Tran dynasty, Nam Dinh city attracts visitors due to series of relics of glorious period, of which ancient Nam Dinh citadel is the most notable. Unlike Gia Dinh and Hanoi citadels whose gates alternately are 8 and 5, Nam Dinh citadel has only 4 gates. Each has individual views with specific features.

After discovering design and architecture, you should go inside the relics to admire interior subsidiary buildings to know about prosperous period of the city with Flag pole, Vong Cung shrine, temple of literature…

Not only does Nam Dinh own marks of Trans emperors, but also owns cluster of relics worshiping Dinh Tien Hoang including temple of Dinh emperor in Yen Thang, Thuong temple, Thuong Dong shrine, Cat Dang shrine in Yen Tien, Y Yen and temple of Dinh emperor in Bach Coc, Vu Ban ancient village.

It would be a shortcomings if talking about marks of the emperors without referring to architecture buildings and historic relics carrying profoundly culture as well as people of this land such as Tran temple, where holds annual festival on January 15th (lunar month); Phu Giay festival, Vong Cung pagoda, Quang Cung residence (Nap residence), Pho Minh pagoda, and many tombs of poets such as Tam Nguyên Yên Đổ Nguyen Khuyen, Tu Xuong or French architectures still remaining like Khoai Dong church, Nguyen Khuyen high school, weave factory…

Coming to Nam Dinh, you will also have chance to play in Thinh Long, a wonderful beach with soft sands, clear water, calm waves and endless rows of pine trees, altogether, they create a pure,spacious picture. Besides, you will enjoy delicious seafood party with family and friends.
