The 3rd International Choir competition held in Hoi An gathers more than 500 artists, singers and performers of 15 troupes from 7 countries.
The opening ceremony will take place at An Hoi statue garden on 19 June with impressive debuts of the choirs representing 7 countries and territories (Indonesia, Korea, Australia, Taiwan, Malaysia, U.S.A, Vietnam) and unique welcome performance of the host Hoi An.
The competition will be held at the hall of Hoi An Beach Resort from 20 June to 22 June. Besides competition, many other interesting activities are also included such as the Inter choir street show in Old Town with theme “International Melody” from 7.30 pm to 8.30 on 20 June pm, the program Vietnam – ASEAN Cultural Heritage Space and Korea, Japan…
The choirs, art trouples from ASEAN, Korea and folk art Vietnamese troupes will attend street carnival “Color of Quang Nam Heritage Festival” from 5pm to 6.30 pm on 22 June at Old Town. The troupes will parade in traditional costumes and perform specific dances, songs, instrumental performance of their countries.
This is the second time Hoi An is chosen by Interkultur Organisation (Germany) to host International Choir competition.
