UN HABITAT organisation in Asia selected Hoi An in Quang Nam province to be Landscape City 2013.
Accordingly, the criteria to decide the winner include sustainable urban development in relation to human life, green trees, pure air, and best secure habitation for local people… The award ceremony will be taken place by UN-HABITAT organisation on 20th October, Japan.
Earlier, in late September 2013, UN HABITAT organisation had visited and worked with People’s Committee of Quang Nam province. Aim of the visit is to support cities, government and community to handle challenges regarding sustainable urbanization and implement the target of providing appropriate residence for inhabitants.
