According to the latest result of the award selected by Conde Nast Traveler’s readers, Hoi An jumped to the second place of the most attractive Asian cities.
After entering the top 10 world’s best destinations last year, Hoi An now becomes the second-most visited tourist city in Asia, following Kyoto (Japan).
According to an annual survey executed by Conde Nast Traveler, the most valuable survey of the global tourism industry, tourists are impressed by multi-colour houses and ancient palaces in Hoi An. They make them feel like living in a movie.
Result of the 26th annual award of Conde Nast Traveler was revealed in New York on 15th October. 5 Vietnamese hotels and resorts entered the top hotels and resorts of the prestige magazine.
The 112 year Sofitel Legend Metropole hotel in Hanoi ranked 5th out of 25 best Asian hotels. Park Hyatt in Ho Chi Minh, Sofitel Plaza in Hanoi, and Sofitel Saigon Plaza were also named in the list.
The Nam Hai moved up 4 places to the 10 best resorts in Asia from last year’s 14th. This is also the only Vietnamese representative for this category.
Conde Nast Traveler evaluated nearly 16.000 hotels and resorts featured to create the list and about 1,3 million polls were voted by 79,268 readers.
The survey was initiated in 1988 by Condé Nast, one of the most prestige publishers. The selection this year was executed via a secured website while the polls were classified by Equation Research.
