According to Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Hanoi capital has been selected as the 5th out of 10 Asian most attractive destinations in 2013 by readers of Smart Travel Asia- popular travel website in Asia.
The poll was based on feedback of readers have been to Hanoi, heard about or known about Hanoi through various means.
Therefore, compared to 2012, Hanoi’s tourism jumped a step and further confirmed the position of the top destination in Vietnam and attractive destination in the region. It was estimated that in first 9 months, the number of foreign tourists to Hanoi reached 1.9 million arrivals, 20% increase over same period last year. Meanwhile, domestic tourists reached 11.72 million arrivals, 11.7% up against same period last year.
Everyone said that Hanoi is the perfect combination between tradition and modernity. Therefore, whoever you are, young or old, girls or boys, businessmen or visitors, you will find Hanoi interesting.
