Gold-gilded temple of Dai Nam tourist destination in Binh Duong opens for free sightseeing. Visitors are not required to pay VND 100,000 ($5) for the entrance ticket.

Since 12 June, many fences were set up to separate gold-gilded temple from Dai Nam tourist destination with aim to permanently open for visitors to freely admire and burn incense.

The temple was built in  area of 9 ha including gardens, mountains… of which the 5 ,000 m2 wide temple is  made of precious wood and all of its walls, patterns are gilded with 24K gold. The temple worships Buddha, the Hung Kings and 1,068 families of the Vietnamese ethnic.

Along the corridor, some notice boards were placed to remind visitors not touching the exhibits in the temple.

As soon as the temple opens for free sightseeing, it has attracted a lot of visitors. According to Mr. Huynh Uy Dung, the owner of Dai Nam tourist destination, he would sell up his real estates which estimated VND 2.000 billion to build 17 temples across the country (including 5 temples in the North, 6 temples in the Central and 6 in the South). It was estimated that it took VND 100 billion of expenditure for each temple. 17 temples were expected to complete in 4 years and open free for visitors.
