Over 33,000 tourists came to “Sapa Cloud Festival 2013”

According to report from Sapa Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, “Sapa Cloud Festival 2013” from 26 April to 05 May has welcomed 33,000 visitors of which 1,503 arrivals are foreigners . Therefore, the  total amount of visitors coming to Sapa in first 4 months of 2013 is  235,766 arrivals.

“Sapa Cloud Festival 2013” drew such a large number of tourists because Reunification and International Labor Days holiday this year are longer than previous years. Besides, the cool weather makes Sapa a perfect destination for people in this summer. Especially, Ham Rong tourist site has welcomed 20,630 tourists since 27 April to 01 May 2013.

Many cultural and sport activities were held in the framework of cloudy festival in Sapa this year such as flowers and ornamental plants display at Van Hoa park; “ Sapa color” art photo exhibition of Sapa photographers; folk cultural festive days at Ham Rong tourist site; Mong ethnic pan-pipe festival and ethnic dress fashion show, “Cap sac” ceremony of Dao Do people, Mong Cat Ca village cultural festival; “One day as local farmer” program; VI Open Fansipan tennis tournament, Sapa Tourism and Trade Fair and other activities.

Sapa is considered as the holy land for foreign visitors. Everything in here is new to them, from the landscape to the culture. Therefore, the visitors want to stay longer to explore beauty of nature and people in Sapa.
