Hoi An is famous for “hot” tailoring service. In only 3 hours, your Áo Dài will be done with specific process as follows. Firstly, you go to cloth shops and choose your favorite cloth and style, then take your measure and finally leave your hotel address. In fixed time, the assistant of the shop will bring the costume to your place to try on. If it doesn’t fit well, they will fix it for you.
Some shops even provide online tailoring service. In official websites, the shops direct you how to take measure, how to choose cloths…. After that, the costume will be delivered to your provided address and the payment will be made via bank transfer.
About materials and styles, Hoi An’s ao dai is not much different from Áo Dài in other regions. The materials used to tailor are Ha Dong, Bao Loc, Ma Chau silks of which Ha Dong and Bao Loc silks are regarded as advanced because of it delicate and graceful features.
