Golden Tourism Month in Hue

To celebrate the 20th anniversary since Hue ancient capital complex was recognized as World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO, Hue Relics Conservation Center will organize “Golden Tourism Month” program from the 2nd to 30th September 2013.

Accordingly, the program will take place at tourism sites of Hue ancient capital’s relics with promotion for tourists and free entrance for students, free guides at Dai Noi (Mandarin’s House) for groups of 30 persons and more, free entrance ticket for domestic student groups; free electric bus service from the entrance of the Old Citadel to the Hue Royal Antique Museum.

The program “Thua Thien Hue’s youth with Cultural Heritage” will be held on the 14th and 15th September with many activities including “The trip back to Cultural Heritage” parade, painting contest “Cultural Heritage’s beauty”, and “Thua Thien Hue’s youth with Cultural Heritage” competition.

Many major activities and important events are scheduled to take place during the 20th and 22nd of September. In detail, a meeting of Vietnam’s world heritages on the 21st September; Gala dinner in the evening of the same day at Can Chanh’s palace and the official anniversary of Hue heritage by UNESCO in the morning of September 22nd.

Especially, in September, with only one entrance ticket to Royal Palace, Khai Dinh’s tomb, Minh Mang’s tomb, the tourists will get a free tour of other relics in Hue relics complex. Moreover, tourists will have chance to participate in outstanding events such as photography exhibition “Hue relics, memory and present” at Dai Noi; porcelain collection of Nguyen dynasty of Doan Phuoc Thuan and Tran Dac Luc collectors at Hue Museum of Royal Antiques; Pictures of Vietnam’s world heritages at Dai Noi (from the 6th to 30th September); traditional art performance of Hue royal at Nghinh Luong Dinh yard.
