Many foreign visitors like to move among the cities in Vietnam by train. Today, I will give you some tips to make your train travel perfect and safe.

Buy the ticket as soon as possible if you decide to travel by train. A coach often comprises about 4 or 6 berths, which is very suitable to a small group. This mode of transportation is both fun and safe with luggage stored in a luggage van.

Luggage

The distance from the platform to the carriage is quite far, so the luggage should be tidy and handy. The clothes should be comfortable to walk easily on the train. The valuables should be attached with you and other stuffs are stored under the sleeping berth or in the locker of the third-tier sleeping berth. Keep a close eye on your luggage to avoid being the target of thieves.

Clothes

Long pants will keep your body warm at night and remember to bring along a suitable light coat. A scarf is really a multi-fucntional item which could be used as a pillow, blanket or bedspread if need be.

Food

There is a canteen on the train selling fastfood such as noodles, soups, snacks…. Sometimes, there is a trolley runing along the carriages to sell food. If long-distance train travel, you may need to bring your own food and beverages onto the train..

The trains are classified into chair coach, air-conditioned chair coach, sleeping coach, air conditioned coaches with sleeping berths.
