Ban Gioc waterfall is referred to as the most beautiful waterfall in Vietnam and the 4th biggest border waterfall in the world . Over 80 km far from Cao Bang city, Ban Gioc waterfall is right on the border between Vietnam and China, Dam Thuy commune, Trung Khanh district. Ban Gioc is compared as a “ sleeping fairy in the mountain and forest”, a natural masterpiece which flabbergasts anyone coming here. The road to Ban Gioc is quite sinuous snaking around the mountain slopes with many narrow turning. On the way, visitors will certainly be very interested in enjoying the fresh air and admire immense corn fields on either side of the road.
In distance, tourists could hear the waterfalls’ echo.
The temperature near the waterfall is remarkably cool, due to the water mist in the air. From direct view, the waterfall is divided into 3 flows that look like white silk stripes. At the base of Ban Gioc is a large, flat surface of Quy Son river, reflecting the green of falls and grass carpet on both sides.
