3 Regina charity coffee shops are opened

By brand transference , Ho Chi Minh city is expected to have 3 more Regina cafes in Tan Binh, Binh Thanh and District 3 in this October. The first Regina cafe is located at No.84 Nguyen Du, District 1 with average annual profit of VND 2 billion which were used for charitable purposes.

The Regina cafe at No.84 Nguyen Du opened in 2006. The profit from it is about VND 2 billion/year used for charity activities.

The first Regina cafe has been invested and operated by Mr. Nguyen Lam Vien, General Director of Vinamit Company since 2006 until now. What impressed us that all the profits from its business were spent on charity activities.

In a conversation with Saigon Economic Time, Mr. Nguyen LamVien said that the contracts of transferring brand of 3 Regina cafes were completed.

Accordingly, expenses for every 100 m Regina cafe estimates VND 300-400 million. Especially, every transferee committed to make a contribution of 10% total revenues to Regina Charity Fund of Vinamit for charity activities, added Mr.Lam.

Some charity activities of Regina Charity Fund includes collecting money for free clinic in Go Vap, Thu Duc Orphant Center, Poort Student Fund of Ho Chi Minh city, providing poor students in Go Vap with free accommodation.

Every drinker coming to Regina cafe in Nguyen Du in the first days of June 2013 will immediately see the words on the menu: “ Thank you for coming to Regina cafe, Enjoying our drinks means you subscribe to Regina Charity Fund to benefit unfortunate people. The business profit of VND 121 million in May 2013 were all contributed to charity activity”.
