Visa pour le Vietnam

General information

Visa pour le Vietnam has 2 main types including Vietnam tourist visa and Vietnam business visa. The type of visa required depends on the length of your stay. For example: If you intend to visit Vietnam for less than 30 days, tourist visa should be applied. For stay of up to 3 months, the business visa is required.

Vietnam visa validity is effective from the INTENDED date of arrival that you put in the application form. You cannot enter earlier or overstay your visa but you always can enter the country later and leave it earlier than the visa validity.

Visa for Vietnam can be single entry which means the visa is cancelled as soon as you leave the country. The multiple entry one allows multiple entries into the country while the visa is valid.

Application

1.    Apply at the embassy or consulate

If you are entering Vietnam via overland, please visit the nearest Vietnam Embassy/Consulate to submit the application that includes the following documents:

·      Origin passport with at least 6 month validity

·      Completed application form

·      01 recent passport photo

·      Vietnam visa fee

Upon receipt of the complete documents, the embassy will issue the visa pour le Vietnam after 3 business days. Please kindly note that you are responsible for accuracy of visa information so don’t forget to check for error on the visa before leaving the consular office. If any mistakes are found, notify immediately to the embassy for remedy.

2.   Apply for visa on arrival

If you arrive in Vietnam by air, you are able to apply for visa on arrival on our site with no requirements. First step, you have to fill out an online application form and pay for the application (Read Vietnam visa fee) either with credit/debit card or with cash. Once your application is approved, you will receive an approval letter, accompanied with an entry and exit form that you must present to collect Vietnam visa on arrival. On average, it takes 2 business days to grant the letter and about 15 minutes for getting visa stamp at the airport.

Advice: Obtain visa to Vietnam at least 1 week prior to arrival so as to avoid unexpected problems.
