Vietnam visa fee for African citizens
Visitors from African countries traveling to Vietnam need an entry visa. Requirements and charges are always top concerns of visa applicants. In another post, we did mention how to get a hassle-free Vietnam visa for African citizens so this time we only focus on talking about how much you have to pay for Vietnam visa as an African visitor.
Since you submit application until the visa is attached to your passport, there are two types of fees must be paid:
Refundable processing fee:is paid to us for getting visa approval on your behalf. We charge different fee for different countries and different visa category. You can pay the fee online with Paypal or Onepay (Onepay is a safe, convenient way of online payment like Paypal but it is Vietnamese company connected with Vietcombank). Alternatively, you can send money via Western Union or transfer money to our domestic bank account. Please read our Terms and Conditions for more information about our refund policy.
Stamping fee: is only payable at airport in US.Dollar/VN dong cash. The customs officers do not accept credit/debit payment. There are some ATMs at airport. However, the exchange rate is not very good. You are advised to exchange USD or VND before arrival. For those requesting to receive visa at embassy of Vietnam, the stamping fee will be paid directly to the consular staff. It costs USD 25 for single entry visa and USD 50 for multiple entry visa.
To help you work out the price for your visa, the pricing table below is divided into categories that correspond with length of time you plan to stay in Vietnam. The categories defined in the table are 1 month single, 1 month multiple, 3 months single and 3 months multiple. For some countries such as Ghana, Senegal, Guinea-Bissau, Nigeria… you have only option. That is 1 month single entry visa.

For example: You are from Nigeria and need a visa for Vietnam. The total price you have to pay is USD 195 including USD 170 paid to us for receiving letter of approval by email within 5-7 business days. The USD 25 stamping fee will be paid later when you arrive at Vietnam’s airport or embassy.
