How to get a long-term Vietnam visa

During many years working in Vietnam visa industry, we have received many complains from a lot of foreigners who come to Vietnam whether to work as freelancers or to retire about the visa renewal process, which requires them to get a new visa after every 3 month. In order to do this, they have to leave the country and obtain a new visa to get back. It is a lengthy and costly process. This problem no longer bothers you as from now on the validity of Vietnam visa is up to 1 year .

Vietnam tourist visa is good for short visits of less than 90 days.  If you are scheduled to stay longer, you will need a long-term Vietnam visa valid for 6 months or 1 year with multiple entries. It’s a huge challenge to apply for a long-term visa by yourself as it’s only available for business purpose and requires a variety of documents. Start application

An application for 1 year or 6 month multiple entry Vietnam visa need includes:

•  Passport page containing your personal information
•  Information about expected travel date
•  Address of Vietnam Embassy at which you want to collect the visa

Once both of application and payment were submitted, you will be informed by email about status of application and delivery date of visa approval.  Usually, it takes around 5-7 business days (excluding weekends and national holidays) for Immigration Department to make decision on your application.

On the mentioned day in confirmation email, the letter of approval is sent to your email. Another copy is sent to Embassy of Vietnam named in the application to request them to issue a visa stamp to you. To ensure you will not have any painful experience at embassy, we recommend you checking for accuracy of the letter and notify us if there’s something wrong with it.

At embassy

Some embassies/consulates open in limited office hours on certain days so you should contact with consular section to make appointment in advance.

In additional to original passport and the visa approval we provided, you have to submit additional fee by cash to be granted visa stamp at the embassy/consulate. The fee is $95 for Vietnam 6 months multiple entry visa and $135 for 1 year multiple entry visa.

Charges

1.  Processing fee

We charge $420 to arrange letter of approval for application for 6 months multiple entry visa. For 1 year multiple visa, the processing fee is $630. You can make payment with credit card or send money via Western Union and banks. Read Payment guidelines.

2.  Stamping fee

The stamping fee is the same at every Embassy/Consulate of Vietnam. It is $95 for 6 months multiple visa and $135 for 1 year multiple visa.

Keep in mind:

•  Long-term Vietnam business visa is not applicable for citizens from Africa and Middle East
•  Your passport must have at least 1 month validity from visa expiry date
